PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

The Player Development Programme (PDP) is an in-season development programme for Year 7 & 8 netballers. It focuses on both the technical and tactical elements of netball, athlete development and fundamental movement skills. N.B. This is not a representative team, the players work in their respective age group squads to develop their netball skills. Up to 30 players per age group will be selected from trials to participate in the Player Development Programme (PDP).

N.B. To be eligible to trial for the NNH Year 7 & 8 Player Development Programme (PDP) you must be a registered Year 7 or 8 player in either a school or club team that plays in the winter competition at NNH.​​​​​​​

PDP Trials for Year 7 & 8 players will be held SUNDAY 17TH MAY in the indoor Onewa arena at the Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre

  • Year 8 Trials - 7.30am - 10.00am (registrations from 7.00am) - registration fee $20.00
  • Year 7 Trials - 11.00am - 1.30pm (registrations from 10.30am) - registration fee $20.00
  • ​​​​​​​CALLBACK Trials for both Yr 7 & 8 trialists will be held Friday 22nd May 4.00pm-6.30pm at NNH in the arena

From trials up to 30 players in each year group (Yr 7 & 8) will be selected for the Player Development programme (PDP).

Programme dates for selected Yr 7 & 8  PDP players are listed below. All trainings are indoors in the Onewa arena At NNH

  • Training #1 - Friday 5th June. 4pm - 6pm 
  • Training # 2 - Sunday 7th June, 9am - 11am
  • Training #3 -  Friday 12th June, 4pm - 6.00pm
  • Training #4 - Friday 19th June, 4pm - 6pm
  • Savaday Sunday 21st June 9am-11am
  • Sunday 14th June - Attend Year 7 & 8 Festival day at NNH -  an all day tournament commitment 

Cost:  A $20.00 non-refundable fee is payable on registration for the Skill and Trial session. For players selected into the Player Development Programme (PDP) the cost is $200.00 per person which includes PDP T-shirt and tournament fees.
