GUIDELINES FOR COACHES
Training sessions should be specific, interesting, challenging and worthwhile.
Set realistic goals. Don’t base your team’s success solely upon winning. Constantly point out areas of individual and team improvements to the players.
Be flexible in your approach.
Communication – Never be too busy to listen to players.
Teach your players that rules of the game are mutual agreements which no-one should evade or break.
Develop team respect for the ability of opponents, as well as for the judgement of umpires and opposing coaches.
Make a personal commitment to keep yourself informed on sound coaching principles.
