| CLUB INFORMATION |
The RNZN Te Reo Heramana (Voice of the Sailor) Netball Club was established in 1979 and is open to civilians and service personnel. In recent seasons the membership has been approximately 50% civilians and 50% service personnel, therefore anyone in the local community can come along and trial for any of our teams. We have tasted success with our teams placing very well in both the Senior Grade and the Premiers over the years. We currently have three teams competing in the Netball North Harbour competition, two in the Saturday Senior Grades and one in the Premiers. The club provides all playing uniforms, tracksuits and equipment, all inclusive of the annual subscription fee. Additionally we have a strong committee which is focussed on making our fees remain as some of the lowest in the North Harbour competition. All trainings are held either at the Navy Ngataringa Sports Complex (NSC) outdoor courts (with night lighting) or at the Fleet Gym on the Naval Base. Both venues are situated in Devonport and are easily accessible to all members of the club. The NSC also has its own function facilities that are often used for fundraising, functions, meetings and our end of year prizegivings. Club trials are advertised in the North Shore Times. These are usually around March/April. We are always looking for new committee members, players, coaches and umpires, so if you are interested please contact us. |
