In July 2009, Netball North Harbour held their first ever New Zealand Wide Under 17 Tournament. This was in response to wide concerns over poor facilities and player safety issues at other tournaments and centres within New Zealand.

The response to that tournament was excellent with teams from all over New Zealand and one from Australia competing.

Entries for the 2009 tournament increased by 50% and we anticipate a similar increase again in 2010.

Netball North Harbour has over 16,000 members and is responsible for the development and management of netball within the North Harbour Region. The Board and Executive Committees are made up of volunteers and form the nucleus of Netball North Harbour’s management structure. The Boards and Committees work in conjunction with paid staff, volunteers and contractors to ensure that the programmes offered are not only compatible with the objectives of the ogranisation but continue to be innovative an allow the centre to continually grow.

Our high quality facilities include 22 courts, 19 of which have a Rebound Ace surface, two control rooms, large function room with public viewing area, players lounge with canteen, official’s room, first aid room, changing rooms with toilet & shower facilities plus ample free parking.
