NEW WORLD NETBALL VOLUNTEER AWARDS

As a Silver Fern sponsor, New World is giving away $50,000 worth of grocery vouchers across the country to netball centres and Netball North Harbour have vouchers to give away in this fabulous "New World Netball Volunteer Awards" promotion.

The promotion will be run every playing day from Saturday 2nd May.  All you have to do is nominate a volunteer and they will automatically go into the weekly draw for grocery vouchers which are redeemable at any New World supermarket.  What a great way of saying thank you to your coach, manager, umpire, officials or administrators.  Anyone who volunteers their time at Netball North Harbour is elligible to be nominated. 

Draws will take place weekly and the promotion will run for most of the season.  Look out for the nomination box by the Downstairs Control room on all playing days and get your nominations in. Winners will be notified by NNH staff and we will keep this page updated with the winners throughout the season.

New World stores are located at:  Kaikohe, Orewa, Kerikeri, Albany, Birkenhead, Browns Bay, Devonport, Milford, Takapuna, Warkworth and Whangarei.

Rene Twine, Orewa College 2 Umpire & Manager:  "Umpires college and club teams.  Always available for technical support with coaching, skills etc.  Managers team as well!  Lovely person, unbiased, also a "taxi drive" when needed."

Joy Goodhew, Albany Junior High:  " Joy has put herself forwar year after year (6yrs) to volunteer to support, transport, coach, manage & encourage our girls when few other parents put themselves forward."

Helen Schulz, NNH Umpire Convenor: "Helen orgnaises all the umpires to teams from College 1 to Premiers on Thursdays and Saturdays.  She makes sure all umpires have arrived for their games and organises replacements if necessary."

Heather Lister, Forrest Hill Primary:  "For all her work and time she puts in for all of the Forrest Hill School teams."

Marilyn Taft, NNH Club Control Room:  "Turning up to do club nebtall even on long holiday weekends!"

Judy Leishman, Whangaparaoa College T4 Coach: "She coaches us and brings treats.  She also umpires games for our school and centre and take time off work for tournaments."

Maddi Pole, Greenhithe T1 Umpire:  "Without her we would not be able to play.  She is the best umpire ever."

Moana Page, Sunnynook Team 2:  "Moana is a grandmother who lives in Muriwai and travels to Sunnynook for practices and again for the game.  She puts in a lot of time and effort."

Marcia Olson, Kaipara College T1 Coach:  "She does so much for everybody even when she doesn't need to.  She's wonderful."

Chelle Tate, Takapuna Gramma T1 Coach:  "Committed volunteer for the past 5 years.  A great person, coach, friend & mentor."

Yvonne Lilly, Albany Junior High T3 Coach:  "Team 3 is a real mixture of talents and Yvonne has coached them with patience & committment.  We have gone from a team of 11 to 7 and Yvone remains positive!!"

Sharon Porteous, Shore Rovers T11, Umpire:  "Always available to umpire when we scream for help.  Sharon consistently helps all levels of netball for umpiring."

Heidi Murphy, Albany Junior High Y10 T1 Coach:  "Heidi really knows how to coach netball.  We have improved so much."

Lois Bruce, Carmel College T2 Coach:  "Lois volunteers as a coach, umpire & manager of Carmel College netball.  She coaches 2 teams for the school and is at netball on Thursdays and Satuirdays umpiring and co-ordinating teams and coaching.  She is a star and never complains even when she is out in the pouring rain!"

Yvonne Jurling, Greenhithe 1 Coach: "Because she is a caring coach that always helps you our when you are stuck.  She is the best coach."
