Coach Evolve 2019

Coach Evolve is a generic Auckland-wide, values-based coach development programme for active

Development Coaches working in clubs, schools and the community from a variety of sport and recreational activities.

It aims to give coaches the latest knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to deliver

life-changing experiences every time they coach.

Yvonne Willering is hosting on Sunday 24th March

 a "Coaching for Year 6, 7 & 8 Coaches

& their Teams Session"

 

When: Sunday 24th March at Netball North Harbour.

Time: 9.30am-12noon (arrival from 9.00am for check-in)

Cost: $100.00 per Coach and Team.

N.B. ALL Coaches must bring their netball team to work with together with a bag of size 5 netballs.

 

Drink bottles and a light morning tea for a refreshment break are also required.

Yvonne Willering together with Premier netball players will demonstrate drills and coaching tactics that are applicable to this age group. Coaches will then take their own teams through the drills they have observed and get guidance together with coaching feedback and assistance from Yvonne and her team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get specialist coaching for coaches and their players in a practical and supportive environment. This session will assist all coaches with their trainings moving into the second half of the netball season:

Understand the purpose of a selection policy & prepare their own/identify player selection process for their team, group, squad or club environment/develop a player profile

Tuesday 26th February

NNZ CCA1 – Planning (Season & Session Planning)

NNH Officials room – 6.30pm-9pm

Understand & Implement planning procedures necessary for the season, practice & game day/Understand and implement evaluation methods & required modifications

NNZ CCA1 - Player Centred Coaching (PCC)

Understand physical literacy & its relevance to coaching netball/understand how to develop a quality experience using player-centred principles/Develop and apply the Teaching Games for Understanding Model (TGFU)

Understand the philosophies of the NetballSmart programme, in particular Smart preparation, Smart Warm-up & cool-down, Smart Movement, Smart training & Smart injury management

Understand stages of group/team dynamics/Develop an understanding of whom & what make a team/Understand the fundamentals of creating a team culture

Practical Coaching for Year 4-Year 8 coaches

A practical skill and drill session to assist coaches with their start of season trainings

NNZ CCA 2 - Circle Work

NNH Officials room & Arena – 6.30pm-9pm, Cost: $25.00

Understand the principles required for the game plans involving circle attack and circle defence.

Thursday 11th April

NNZ CCA 1 – Attacking Fundamentals

NNH Officials room & Arena – 6.30pm-9pm, Cost: $25.00

 

Review the fundamental ball & movement skills & have the ability to pass from right & left side equally/to explore the passing & catching elements/to explore the concept of attack & what skills are required to execute attacking play effectively.

 ACC Netball Smart Warm Up

This link will direct you the Netball Smart warm up aimed at all levels of players. The research on this warm up is that it will reduce injuries by 40% when completed in its entirety 2-3 times a week. 

 Foundation Coaching - Coaches working with primary or intermediate aged children.

These are introductory or refresher workshops for all primary and intermediate coaches aimed at giving coaches a good understanding and basic knowledge of netball fundamentals skills.

 Community Coach Award (CCA 1 & 2) - Level 1(technical) and Level 2(tactical)

A NNZ Qualification aimed at coaches with two or more years coaching experience wanting to develop more specific areas of their coaching and working towards a recognised qualification.

 Performance Coaching - Must have CCA level 2 and be actively coaching in the performance area   (National  U17/U19/Premier Club)

To be eligible for this award you must meet the following criteria:

Applications can be downloaded from the NNZ website, must be endorsed by the Centre and then the Zone.

The Zone will interview the applicant and make recomendations to NNZ.
