Netball North Harbour Incorporated was originally formed in 1952 as the North Shore Basketball Assocation. In 2012 Netball North Harbour celebrates its 60th anniversary. The organisation is led by Chief Executive Officer Adele Lendich and she has been the driving force of some major changes at Netball North Harbour including the development of our new indoor facility which was opened to the community in July 2011.
In June 2009 AMI Insurance became principal naming rights sponsor of the centre and the organisation is now known as AMI Netball North Harbour. The AMI Netball centre has been a community facility from its inception, the centre is used externally by the general public for both netball and tennis purposes. Our netball competitions are the largest operation of the organisation, with the provision of school, club and social grade competitions and tournaments throughout the year.
Primary netball is held at the AMI Netball Complex on Mondays & Wednesdays, Intermediate on Thursdays with College and Senior Club on Saturdays. Our Premier Competition is held on a Thursday night indoors (and currently off site). When the construction is completed on our covered court facility we are hoping to bring our Premier competition back to the AMI Netball Centre.
Social twilight is run in 6 week blocks throughout the year on Wednesdays with Primary, Intermediate and College twilight held over 6 weeks in the last school term. We have recently re-introduced Ladies Day competition which is held on a Wednesday morning.

The AMI netball complex is located adjacent to the Northcote Road off-ramp off the Northern motorway with easy access to north and south bound traffic. The Centre is ideally placed in close proximity to the Harbour Bridge and easily accessible to the business community in Auckland CBD as well as the North Shore.
